Cinnamon Syrup

Remember Mom's cinnamon syrup? Mmmmm!

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. corn syrup
1/4 c. water
1/2 to 3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. evaporated milk

Combine sugar, corn syrup, water and cinnamon. Boil over medium heat stirring constantly. Cook and stir for 2 minutes more. Cool for 5 minutes removed from heat. Stir in evaporated milk. Makes 1 2/3 cups.

This sounds wonderful! I'm going to make it this week. I was wondering if you know how long any leftover syrup can be stored. And do you keep it refrigerated? Thanks!

I keep my syrup refrigerated when we are done making it. I have never kept track how long I keep it in the fridge, but it has to be over a month or two for sure. It always takes us awhile to finish it.
